  On July 5, LIVE! with Regis and Kelly aired a great sunglasses segment, featuring product from numerous members of The Vision Council as well as face fitting tips, the benefits of ultraviolet (UV) protection and an overview of the latest trends in sunglasses. See more about this story here!

• UV Been Missing Something
  Stay safe in the sun! The Vision Council has unveiled a new website featuring all kinds of great tools and tips for you this summer. We included an interactive UV map, your own downloadable UV widget, information about protecting your eyes, selecting the best types of sunglasses and even a link to a free iPhone app called PackLists! It not only allows you to view UV levels in cities around the country, but it helps you create a quick vacation packing list. See for yourself!

• Every day, approximately 2,000 U.S. workers receive some form of medical treatment for eye injuries related to or sustained at work. The Vision Council has issued a new report, Eye Safety At-a-Glance: Protecting Your Vision at Work (PDF, 337 KB), which examines the impact of vision problems in the workplace.
